The theme for our new season is “Feel the Connection,” as every concert builds bridges in the community through the power of orchestral music. Listeners and musicians share thrilling experiences in the concert hall, and nothing can replace the bonds that link us after each concert.
From thoughtful prayers to exaltations, a concert of “Celebration and Reverence" opens the season on October 14th. The Mountain View Hospital Breast Cancer Awareness Concert features sublime and uplifting music: Concertmaster Emma Rubinstein performs the contemplative Kol Nidrei for solo violin and orchestra during the Jewish Holy Days. We will marvel at nature’s grandeur through the music of Alan Hovhannes, who quotes the songs of whales, and Beethoven’s “Pastoral Symphony” closes the program with a familiar and uniquely Classical celebration.
