The theme for our new season is “Feel the Connection,” as every concert builds bridges in the community through the power of orchestral music. Listeners and musicians share thrilling experiences in the concert hall, and nothing can replace the bonds that link us after each concert.
On Saturday, November 4th, guest conductor Blake Richardson leads an intimate “Symphony of Strings” at the Colonial Theater. With the full complement of our Idaho Falls Symphony strings taking advantage of the rich acoustics of this historic theater, Blake and the strings will perform lush and heartfelt music by Gerald Finzi, Antonio Vivaldi, the romantic Serenade by Antonin Dvorák, plus lively operatic music from Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi — a composer celebrating his 450th anniversary year.
