A CrumpleyAndrew Crumpley, age 16, is the son of Rachel and Tyler Crumpley of Idaho Falls and the oldest of five children. He is an avid musician. Andrew began learning piano at age five, first for 8 years with his grandmother, Kathy Mobley, and for the last 3 years under the instruction of Jeannine Larsen. He has participated in both the EIMTA Sonata/Sonatina competition and the Idaho Falls Music Club festival/scholarship audition for many years. Piano is Andrew's first love, and one that will last forever! He loves accompanying choirs and other musical groups, and has done so many times. He has also played the cello for 6 years, and enjoys playing as a cellist in the Idaho Falls Youth Symphony. Andrew enjoys playing the organ when he gets a chance, which isn't very often. Andrew loves ballroom dancing and eating good food. He is home schooled, and is a junior/senior.

D StanleyDrew Stanley has been the playing the French horn for over four years. In 2016, after a rigorous audition process, he was selected to participate in the inaugural season of The National Youth Orchestra 2 through Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, and performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra at Verizon Hall. He is in his third year with the Idaho Falls Youth Symphony, and was a member of the 2017 IMEA All-State Band as well as the NAfME All-Northwest Band. In 2016, Drew placed first at the IMEA State Solo competition and was a finalist in the Idaho Falls Symphony’s Young Artist Competition. For the past two summers he has been a member of the Lyceum Philharmonic Festival Orchestra in Midway, UT. Drew is currently a sophomore at Bonneville High School where he participates in choir and musical theater and is a member of the Symphonic Band. Drew studies with Dr. Jon Klein, Professor of Horn at Brigham Young University–Idaho.

S LymanSophie Lyman is a high school junior and has played cello for nine years. She plays in the Madison High School Symphony Orchestra, Rexburg Tabernacle Orchestra, Idaho Falls Youth Symphony, and has participated in the Idaho All-state Orchestra the past three years, serving as the assistant principal her freshman year, and as principal this year. In February she participated in the All Northwest orchestra under the direction of Gerard Schwarz. This is her second year being featured as an IFYS concerto competition soloist and her third as a soloist with her high school orchestra. She has also played and performed chamber music at the Credo chamber music camp, Mountains and Strings Chamber Music Retreat, Lamar Stringfield Music Camp, the BYU Summer Festival, and with her friends from the Madison High School orchestras. This summer she will be attending the Brevard Summer Institute in North Carolina. She studied with her mother, Rebecca Lyman, and currently works with Robert Tueller at BYU-Idaho. She has also had lessons with Sam Smith, Anne Williams, Bryan Dumm, and with Michelle Kesler in master class.
